ABOUT OUR MAGIC WORKSHOPS

There comes a time when watching magic is not enough. When the audience wants to perform the magic – to actually become magicians.

While we don’t claim to be able to turn people into wizards overnight – we do provide a fun and interesting introduction to the art of performing magic through our workshop.

We offer various courses that caters for both children and adults, for schools and corporate team building sessions.

Did you know that people actually learn swimming online? Although I’m not sure how safe, or even if they are swimming right with no one to correct their mistakes.

Learning in a workshop, especially with something hands on like sleight of hand, is the most efficient way to pick up the new skill. That aside, it’s certainly more enjoyable learning as a group and a more entertaining session with a professional entertainer facilitating the program.

All our talents at Expererience Magic are full time professionals who take pride in their craft. More than just teaching magic tricks, the real secrets of magic lies in the psychology behind the methods and the attention to presenting magic in real life social situations.

Much like a Magic Show, our magicians typically start off performing a few tricks from part of their professional repotire to hype up the group before mixing things up with tricks that will be taught during the session.

More than just a show and tell, participants will then get to learn between 3 – 4 tricks through step by step follow along instructions. From basic coin vanishes, to tricks with every day objects such as rubber bands, and playing cards, there’s lots to explore and discover!

Once participants are familar with the methods, they will be paired up with one another to practice the effects. During debrief, our magicians would also be happy to take on any questions to share more about their craft and tips on where to professional magicians learn / buy their tricks!

We typically cater to a class of 5 – 20 pax, but have also conducted much larger sessions. Ideally a smaller class size offers a more intimate experience and participants generally have a much better experience. Since we do work witha team of magicians, for larger groups, we often advice having multiple classes conducted by different magicians.

For people who have a keen interest in magic or are serious hobbyists, we also offer 1 on 1 private magic workshops for teens, and adults. Unfortunately children who are below the age of 10 years old may not be suitable for the kind of magic workshops we strive to deliver.

Both! For clients who wish to conduct a virtual magic workshop, most of the tricks taught will be done based on everyday objects that participants can prepare from home.

Corporate Team Building Magic Workshop

Our Team Building Magic Workshop aims to effectively teach magic effects while encouraging the participants to think outside of the box as a team and improve each other’s learning through positive criticism and input.

Not only do we provide highly engaging corporate entertainment, but we also show how learning a few basic magic tricks can sharpen and stimulate life skills that can help in many areas of business.

We teach a selection of easy to master magic tricks that are effective and fun to perform. Most of the tricks that are taught use normal household objects such as pieces of paper, coins etc, and any specialist equipment is always supplied as part of the workshop!

Parents and guardians are always welcomed to sit in and we normally recommend that they do so for the younger children.

Magic Workshop for Kids

Full Beginner Magic Course (Adult)

Our adult course is designed for the complete beginner, and covers many of the core moves, tricks and ideas in magic. We also teach how to give a magic trick impact, and introduce the ideas of misdirection, presentation and psychology of magic.

Coaches are full time magicians, with practical professional experience. They present the course through fun and informative methods and offer plenty of time for hands on practice.

The course will include cards tricks, coin sleights, mind reading demonstrations and other aspects of sleight-of-hand. There is no maximum age, but would typically recommend for participants to be of 16 years and up. Younger groups may consider our workshops for children.

5 REASONS TO LEARN MAGIC TRICKS

Learning magic tricks can enrich the lives of both adults and kids in various ways, from boosting critical thinking skills to sparking conversations at social gatherings.

1. Improve Social Skills

While you can probably practice magic in the bedroom, you can’t perform without an audience. Learning magic tricks forces you outside of your comfort zone and to speak with intention. Practicing magicians learn to be comfortable in front of crowds, and use magic as a social tool to be a better communicator while making a memorable impression.

2. Build Self Confidence

To be a good magician is to be a good communicator. To literally have tricks up your sleeves to fall back on helps one to speak with confidence and ease into conversations. A large majority of professional magicians tend to be introverts who now perform all around the world. Picking up a new skill like magic under your belt is also encouraging when it comes to building up your self esteem!

3. Increase your level of Happiness

When was the last time you learnt something new? Research have shown that by consistently educating yourself and trying new things, you’ll learn you’re capable of change and growth, which keeps you open to new opportunities in life. When you learn a new skill, you increase your level of happiness. You probably won’t be euphoric all the time, but you’ll certainly lift your sense of well-being. “Small Wins Ignite Joy, Engagement, and Creativity”

4. Improve Creative Thinking

Magic is both Art and Science. It’s Science because you can teach it almost anyone. And it’s Art because even though you can teach the same trick, no one performs it quite the same way. Good magicians learn how to bring their unique characteristics and qualities when presenting their magic. Some even come up with their own methods and magic tricks too!

5. Magic tricks are FUN.

There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of perfecting a sleight of hand trick after weeks of practice. Seeing a magic trick unfold before your eyes and bringing smiles to others is incredibly gratifying. Not only are the Magic Workshops engaging and fun, after the sessions participants spend hours of fun practicing and performing!
